Wild West (7D, 6N)

7 Days/6 Nights/1155km/$1820usd*

*Solo rider with private room, share options available

The West of Cambodia is seldom explored by travellers due to it’s wild and remote nature. JR have spent years exploring, finding the best on and off road routes for our riders. The West has everything to offer from remote, seldom visited temples, hidden forest trails and limestone mountains. We have picked the very best highlights to ensure you have a memorable riding experience, on and off the bike.

Day 1 | Siem Reap – Induction Day | 50km

At 8:00am, our driver will pick you up from the hotel and bring you to JRHQ for induction which includes safety briefing, ride overview and intro to the bikes. Please bring your riding gear along with you.

We will hit the road for a quick induction ride; this is just to get to know each other and to know the bikes and riding conditions.  We return to JRHQ by around midday and you are free for the afternoon.

We meet again at 6:30pm for dinner followed by a visit to the amazing Phare, the Cambodian Circus, which is not to be missed!

Day 2 | Siem Reap – Battambang | 242km

We depart early from JRHQ to beat the heat and the traffic, as the first part of the ride this morning is on sealed road. We stop at a local snack spot where the snacks are possibly more photogenic than palatable! We follow a series of regional roads and trails to get us to our scenic local lunch spot, stopping for photo ops, and local interaction along the way.

Day 3 | Battambang – Pailin | 225km

Our route this morning takes us south of Battambang, and towards the foot of the Cardomom mountains. We explore some remote trails and villages and perhaps discover a lost waterfall or two. As we head back towards the lowloads, we enjoy some fun riding on very new and quite empty blacktop roads. We stop at a scenic local picnic spot for lunch before making our way to Pailin where we will stay for two nights.

Day 4 | Pailin | 69km

Half-Day Explore/Rest Today is an optional explore ride – either in the afternoon or morning depending on the season. We explore hidden trails heading deep into the jungle, offering beautiful views deep into remote Thailand and the Cardomom mountains. We have no real destination today, just ride and explore. If you wish to have a rest and enjoy the pool and facilities at Memoria, this is also an option.

Day 5 | Pailin – Banteay Chhmar | 255km

Departing early, we strike north, following the Thai border on mostly blacktop roads – enjoyable and scenic riding awaits! We reach Phnom Proek by mid-morning, this area is famous for it’s limestone caves and spectacular mountains. We take some time to explore some of the side trails through the plantations, reaching civilisation by lunchtime. Nice roads lead us to a remote temple grouping, still seldom visited by travellers. We take some time to explore with a local CBT tour guide before enjoying a delicious and unique dining experience.
