Wild West (4D, 3N)

4 Days/3 Nights/480km/$1040usd*

*Solo rider with private room, share options available

The West of Cambodia is seldom explored by travellers due to it’s wild and remote nature. JR have spent years exploring, finding the best on and off road routes for our riders. The West has everything to offer from remote, seldom visited temples, hidden forest trails and limestone mountains. We have picked the very best highlights to ensure you have a memorable riding experience, on and off the bike.

Day 1 | Siem Reap – Induction Day | 50km

At 8:00am, our driver will pick you up from the hotel and bring you to JRHQ for induction which includes safety briefing, ride overview and intro to the bikes. Please bring your riding gear along with you.

We will hit the road for a quick induction ride; this is just to get to know each other and to know the bikes and riding conditions.  We return to JRHQ by around midday and you are free for the afternoon.

We meet again at 6:30pm for dinner followed by a visit to the amazing Phare, the Cambodian Circus, which is not to be missed!

Day 2 | Siem Reap – Banteay Chhmar | 114km

We depart early from JRHQ to beat the heat and the traffic, the first part of the ride this morning is on a mix of sealed and dirt road. We stop at a local snack spot where the snacks are possibly more photogenic than palatable! We follow a series of regional roads and trails past an ancient reservoir, to get us to our scenic local lunch spot, stopping for photo ops, and local interaction along the way.

We take some time to explore Banteay Chhmar and it’s satellite temples with a local CBT tour guide before enjoying a delicious and unique dining experience.

Tonight, our accommodation is a local homestay organised by the Banteay Chhmar Community Based Tourism Group; supporting local families.

We make a stop to visit a Community Forest to meet the local monks who are tasked with protecting the reserve. We make a small donation here to support their challenging work.

Next we hit the Dangrek Escarpment where we stop at a scenic local point for lunch. After lunch we see some remnants of Khmer Rouge History before making our way to our accommodation for the evening.”

After lunch we will visit ACCB (Angkor Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation) and take a quick tour of their facility to see some of the rescued animals and to learn about some of the great community work they are doing.
